Let’s grow our own food and not depend on the grocery stores!
Like millions of people, I’ve had this dream for years. How hard could it be? All you need is land, seeds, water, and time, right?
Well I found out the hard way; it’s not that easy.
After spending a lot of money, time, and experiencing frustration I finally figured out a reliable gardening practice that works for my family.
Here’s 4 difficulties to keep in mind when starting your family’s garden:
Watering – proper drainage is very important based on the kind of plants in your garden.
Location – different plants require a certain amount of sun exposure
Pests – learn which are helpful vs. harmful
Extreme weather conditions – find your zone to determine when to plant outside to avoid losing plants to frost. Seed packages will usually give you planting instructions based on the zone.
