Spiced Cranberry Pear Oatmeal
A great way to start off any day
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 cup of oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 pear diced
2 cups of almond milk
2 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 egg
1 ounce of dried cranberries
1 tablespoon of maple syrup (optional)
1) Toast oats, pears, and spices with butter for 5 mins or until you can smell the aroma over medium heat
2) Add almond milk, brown sugar, and egg
3) Stir mixture frequently until it comes to a boil. It will start to thicken.
4) Turn the heat off and let sit for 3 minutes
5) Top with dried cranberries and maple syrup (if desired)
